Ross may have said something about it but I missed that one. I can not talk computer and gadgets with you because I am old and confused at 41 years. I have had an email account since 1998 and am on my third computer. This one is not quite a year yet. Only in the last year have they gotten DSL up here in these "neck of the woods". And I will even tell on my self and my computer ignorance, I could not tell you that first thing about microsoft or any of its programs and I can not even copy, cut, and paste. God I feel good for letting that out. But my friends do ask me where the best sales are because I do keep track of that on my computer and do a lot of my shopping on it. The UPS man and Fed Ex trucks are weekly visitors on my dead end road here in the hills. And I do not mean Beverly either.

Sometime in one of your blogs tell us about your self. We know about everything about Ross and now we need to know about you. Are you origionally from California, if not how did you end up there. ANy pets, your family etc, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-78835265359635510502007-07-26T17:15:00.000-07:002007-07-26T17:15:00.000-07:00Hiya GeekGirl,I just found you from Ross's page an...Hiya GeekGirl,
I just found you from Ross's page and it's perfect timing. All you have to do is plug it in, and for Macs, it shows up on your desktop. For PC's, you have to go to "My Computer" where you search for your drives (i.e. where the C:// drive is) and it will pop up there as an E drive or a D drive (or even further down the alphabet, dependent on how many external things you have plugged into your computer) or as just "removable device".

if you have an older computer, you may need a driver to read it, which you can search for online by the brand that makes the particular hub or card reader you bought.

hope that makes sense! you can always email me at geek.girl@earthlink.net if you're thinking about buying one, and ask questions about it. you can send me links to what you are thinking about buying, and i can give you my input about it. or you can just continue to ask questions right here!

cheers,
geek girlGeekGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10807480149212319684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-49235275507348047272007-07-17T10:13:00.000-07:002007-07-17T10:13:00.000-07:00That was a pretty good episode, in my opionion. I have been meaning to get one of those for quite a while, but just havn't got around to it yet.

I was also wondering, what kind of recording epuipment do you use for your vidoes? And also what software your using to edit with?

I think heather's question about drivers is something im interested in too, i noticed you were using a mac, and as the comercials say "it just works" but would that be the same for a windows desktop? Not that drivers would be that much of an issue as they are probably supplied with the hub, if needed at all.

Thanks for reading,
AlexAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-50690302544558021682007-07-16T23:16:00.000-07:002007-07-16T23:16:00.000-07:00yaklots...i have a feeling that the answer to your...yaklots...i have a feeling that the answer to your question is pretty simple. ross posts his videos via YouTube, and then they "live" on his blog page. This means that you have to give them time to load. By "load" i mean that you have to click play on the video, and then let the bar at the bottom slowly fill in. it will likely at first play for 3-5 secs, and then stop. just hit the pause button, and let the bar to the right of the pause button load completely, then press play again. if this doesn't work on ross' actual blog page, then click on the video itself to go to it on the YouTube page. do the same thing there, and it should play! let me know if it still doesn't work...

cheers,
geek girlGeekGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10807480149212319684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-52171166174933893602007-07-16T21:12:00.000-07:002007-07-16T21:12:00.000-07:00Hi, Daria - OK, you lost me at "Hello, Web People"...Hi, Daria - OK, you lost me at "Hello, Web People", but not to worry, I have just one little question. When I try to play some web video e.g. Ross's Talky Blog, why does it cut out every 3 to 5 seconds? This is VERY annoying! How can I fix it? (OK, 2 questions) Please remember, I am techno-challenged and OLD!

Thanks for your help,

Yaklots (Leah Coop)
Psa30five@aol.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-79903920079941523132007-07-16T19:28:00.000-07:002007-07-16T19:28:00.000-07:00That was me above, Auntie Mame :)That was me above, Auntie Mame :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533695884143115159.post-46831667980966700912007-07-16T19:25:00.000-07:002007-07-16T19:25:00.000-07:00Question:Does the computer that you plug the hub i...Question:

Does the computer that you plug the hub into need to have drivers installed internally to make it all work correctly?
